The puzzle is the prototype of a quite complex machine: as you turn the lever at the base, a hidden mechanism moves inward a number of magnets so that the continents on the surface of the earth fall apart. As the lever goes back into position the magnets get back into position and we can put the earth surface back together again.The continents are made of resin, and coloured by hand. The mechanism is made of aluminium and wood. |
Il puzzle e' un prototipo di una macchina piuttosto complessa: spingendo la leva posta alla base un meccanismo interno al modello della terra sposta un certo numero di magneti. A loro volta i magneti rilasciano i continenti che, mancando l'attrazione magnetica, cadono dalla superfice della terra.La leva torna in posizione e cosi' anche i magneti interni e possiamo giocare a rimettere a posto le placche continentali. I continenti sono fatti di resina poliestere e colorati a mano. Il meccanismo di alluminio e legno, la base in ferro poi tamponato. |
